This is a unique opportunity to learn and work alongside a world-class master, expand your technical and artistic skills, and draw inspiration from the limitless possibilities of natural materials.
Benito Steen describes himself as: “a builder and artist, who strives to find the connection between space and beauty, shelter and nature, the hand and materials.”
He was born and raised in Southeastern Arizona, where his parents teach natural building. Coming from a long line of artists and craftsmen, Benito grew up in an environment surrounded by people from around the world, each bringing new skills and artisanal techniques into his life. Homeschooled, he was drawn from a young age to both practical and artistic crafts such as plastering, blacksmithing, and woodworking.
Benito has taught natural building across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and at home in Canelo, Arizona. Constantly learning and experimenting, he combines ancient techniques with modern approaches to create beautiful, sustainable, and healthy homes.
We warmly invite you to take part in this special training.
